Sunset at the Palms day 3

Breakfast, Beach and Cruise- The catamaran cruise was awesome. Along the way over to Rick's Cafe, we passed many places that I recognized from reading about them on Trip Advisor. On the boat, they played cds and that was my only disappointment. 9 years ago, we went on a catamaran cruise and they had a Rastafarian who played and sang. This boat's cds included Cher. (in Jamaica??)
We passed Samsara (next door to 3 Dives)
We passed the Rock House, too.
Here is the Negril Lighthouse.
This fisherman is showing off his catch... a nice big barracuda. (out deeper in the sea, of course)
Once we got to Ricks, you had the option of swimming over to it and cliff jumping if you preferred. Our brave newlywed, Liz, was all for it. Her husband was not. (you go, girl)
Liz not only made one jump but went for 2! Another woman on our boat hesitantly jumped as well but she slid a little sideways and ended up with a thigh-covering bruise. There is a Negril diver in the tallest tree who back dives into the water. (crazy) Also, some of the local kids will jump for tips. $2 each. They actually swam to our boat to ask if we were interested.
After being at Ricks about an hour, most people swam back to the boat.
The party really got started then as we were awaiting the sunset. At this time of year, the sunset was about 6:30pm.
We had a lovely sunset on the cruise and an awesome time.
After we got back, we had dinner at the buffet. Here is the chef making Jerk chicken or pork. In addition to the jerk chicken, they had plantains which I love and mango mousse for dessert. TIP: Jerk chicken is better at the beach grill than at the buffet
After dinner, we headed over to the pool bar to watch a steel band. We were pretty exhausted at this point. Who can keep up with night life??
Headed back to the room with one more palm tree pose... till tomorrow.
