| The long
awaited arrival-
We arrived in front of the resort at about 4:00pm and approached the open-air front desk on our left. |
|
| We were greeted
with a nice glass of fruit punch, a cold, wet towel and a friendly
welcome.
We waited for the rain shower to clear. I thought the rain followed us from NJ. (we were just a little wet) |
|
| Our luggage was
promptly brought to our room, (# 612) To the right of the front desk is the lobby bar. (remember, pictures do it no justice) |
|
| The rain only
lasted about 1/2 hour and the rest of the day was partly cloudy. The
temperature for the entire week averaged 85 degrees and there was no more
rain for the reminder of our stay.
This is a view of the entrance way with the front desk on your left and lobby bar coming up on your right. |
|
| We proceeded to
our room to put away our luggage. (all the renovated cabins are to the
right, beyond the lobby bar)
Everything is done in slate tile with a bowl basin sink. Tip: If you run all 6 jets at the same time for more than 10 minutes, you may end up with a cold shower. (that's a lot of water!) Adjust it accordingly. |
|
| The room was
stunning as was the architecture. (picture of high vaulted ceiling
and fan). The room featured a king size bed, closet with shelves for storage, a armoire with drawers and a 19" tv, a desk and a bench seat. Your bed faces the French doors that open to your patio. |
|
| View of the King size bed. The
bed is firm and my back never hurt me at all. The sheets were comfortable
as well.
|
*Tip: bring along a bunch of singles for tipping. We tipped the baggage people at the airport, tour company and the bus driver. It's also good for leaving maid, bartender and food service tips. Not required but these people go the extra mile for you! |
