Exploring the beach-

The first place we headed to was the beach. SATP is across the road from the beach but it is only a short, 2 minute walk. (for me, 260 steps from the gate to the beach bar) This is the front gate where security sits.

Once you walk out of SATP, you make a right onto this sidewalk, walk to the end there and a crossing guard will cross you over the road to the beach. (the short walk will do you good!)
Once you are at SATP's private beach, you will see the beach bar pictured here. They serve the same liquor that they do in the resort. Red Stripe and red Strip lite on tap, Dewers, Absolute, Tangeray, Canadian Club, Jack Daniels, Jim Beam, Hillcrest, Appleton Rum, Rum cream, merlot, chardonnay, champagne, pepsi, diet, ting  and all kinds of tropical frozen drinks which include fresh fruit such as banana, papaya and pineapple. (try the dirty banana, it's awesome!)

I must mention all the wonderful people who work at SATP. The bartenders and service people are incredibly nice and treat you with respect and kindness. They want to be sure you are having the best time. In this picture is Dwight. He wants to eventually have a career in computers. I plan to send him some learning materials. He's a great guy and excellent bartender.
This is the beach grill where my husband got his daily fix of his favorite food- cheeseburger and french fries. I opted to try some new foods including the BEST jerk chicken in Negril and the delicious, fresh snapper.

Who says service is slow in Jamaica? We received our food within 10 minutes always!

TIP: the jerk chicken here is better than in the resort

This is the first page of the beach grill menu

This is the second. We never tired of any of the beach grill food and they are open in between the lunch and dinner buffet. Makes for great snack food, too!

We brought along our rafts and this was our favorite activity..
Bloody bay is so calm. You can just lay on your raft for hours and hardly move. The first time in, it was one of the most relaxing, peaceful, heavenly moments of my life.

This is what vacation is all about!

TIP: Bring an inflatable raft from home even though you can find some at the pool bar that people left behind. Look for mine! It's polka dotted! Also, bring along a travel mug to keep your drinks colder longer.
